Tundra. Exceptional power. Exceptional safety. Affordable price.

Brand-new-toyota-tun-134792396

Considering a new Toyota Tundra? automobile.com has a great rundown on the 2011 model. In addition to lots of other details, their review says, "Without question, the exceptional power that the 2011 Toyota Tundra brings to the table - especially with its two first-rate V8 engines - is one of its biggest perks. Exceptional safety features and an affordable starting price tag are also sure to reel in plenty of drivers. In terms of riding comfort and convenience, the Tundra also shines; the abundance of pockets, cubbies and other storage spaces makes it a snap to stay organized when driving around in this truck. The center console is also wonderfully roomy, allowing drivers to keep plenty of essential items safely - and discreetly - tucked away."

Wait. What? 18 mpg hauling 1,855 lbs for 288 miles in a Tundra? Yep!

Our good friend and customer, Chuck, wrote in to tell us how much he likes his Toyota Tundra:

Here are a few pics of how we utilize our Tundra.  This particular load had four drums with a total weight of 1,855 lbs.  The trip was 288.4 miles; and I got 18.267 mpg.

Notice in the first picture, the truck is not squatting at all.  Before we purchased the Tundra, I made trips like this in my F-150.  I could only take two drums at a time; due to how the weight affected my truck.  And with two drums, I never got above 15 mpg.

Needless to say, I'm glad we have the Tundra to take over the grunt work for my F-150.

Take care,
Chuck
